1 Napoleon St, Cottesloe, Perth, WA
What a sunny day for beach! So perthfoodieee x2 had decided to go visit Vans cafe before heading to Cottesloe beach. It was pretty crowded as we visited it during weekend but it did not take us long for the wait. The staffs were so nice and friendly. The atmosphere is kinda relax for chill. I actually did not really take a lot at the reviews before heading into Vans and that’s why their Asian inspired dishes impressed me. I thought it was just a cafe that we used to go, but then it turned out to be…. wow, what an ideal spot to spend with your loved one! And I actually wanna order a lot more from the menu but well, we got 2 persons only.
(1) Hot potato cake:
This dish was pretty special to me coz not only the potato cake was so hot inside, but also the plate they served haha. It was so hot that even the staff asked me to be careful. Everything was perfect for the dish and we shall revisit it again 🙂
(2) Open free range chicken sandwich:
My partner kinda love this dish, but not for me. Maybe I wasn’t really like the tabouli? So I found it a bit weird for the whole dish.
(3) Pork Belly Brioche Bun:
Normally I don’t like herbs, but for this, if you eat them all together in one bite, then it created a pretty yummy bun. The main character: pork belly was so crispy and what made you even happier was that the bun didn’t really covered the whole pork belly. In other words, the pork belly was relatively big for the bun which was nice.
