Corner of St Georges Terrace & Barrack Street, WA, Perth CBD
“Petition” what a name hay! It’s a newly established kitchen located in the State Building at the corner of Barrack st and St Georges Terrence. It’s classy interior has gotten my very first glance, the environment gives you a fine dining feeling with professional waiter to count on. Dishes were freshly prepared from a open kitchen, however the portion it offered was a bit small comparing to the price.
(1) Torched salmon, pea salad, slow egg & rye:
To be honest, I’m definitely not a fan of pea, however, pea works well with other elements in the dish and turning it into something brilliant. The slow egg was cooked perfectly. And the presentation looks kinda attractive. The only disappointing thing is the size is too small that is not warrant with the price.
(2) English breakfast tea:
well, again, not an expert in tea, so….
(3) Smoked sardines on toast, tomato escabeche, marjoram, salted lemon:
What a special dish on the menu because cafe normally won’t serve sardines on the menu. The taste wasn’t that bad anyways but then I cannot manage the small bones from the sardines. I feel frustrated when they appeared in every single bite of the dish. I guess this is also because why they are not common on the menu?
