Kuza @Victoria Park

Kuza Urban Japanese Food
Shop1, 393 Albany Highway, Victoria Park, Perth, WA

This fancy Japanese restaurant offers a high variety of food choices which attracted me to be back for a few times already. Services were alright and foods were served fast. Just a small tip to diners: lunch and dinner menu are different but they both come with reasonable prices. Personally, I am more in love with the lunch menu.

(1) Assorted sashimi:
fresh and palatable with reasonable prices.

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
Assorted sashimi (small, 3 pieces each) ($21)

only available on DINNER MENU:

(2) Peppered Wagyu Beef Rolls:
All the components were well-balanced with rich flavours. The Wagyu beef was so tender and the whole texture of this rolls was so nice.

Peppered Wagyu Beef Roll, 6 pieces || Seared Wagyu Beef, Cucumber, Goats Cheese, Onion & Black Pepper Relish, Mayonnaise, Caperberries ($16)

(3) Double Salmon Roll:
The choices of garnishes inside the roll were amazing. Rich but didn’t overpower the main of this roll. It was also fresh enough to balance this oily fish.

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
Double Salmon Roll, 8 pieces || Salmon, Mozzarella, Cucumber, Avocado, Wasabi Mayonnaise, Tobiko ($16)

only available on LUNCH MENU:

(4) Braised Beef Cheeks Soba Set:
The beef cheek was meltingly tender, with deep and strong flavour. The cooked daikons were soft and well flavoured after absorbing the sauce. This dish also served with soya based dipping sauce, wasabi and quail egg (the amount of wasabi and quail egg is really up to you). But adding tiny bits of wasabi helps to bring out the flavour of the sauce. Quail egg can also hold the soba with the dipping sauce together and add flavours to the plain soba. Absolutely love it.

Braised beef cheeks soba set served with soya dipping sauce and miso soup ($18)

Braised Beef Cheeks Soba Set  ($18)

(5) Spicy kuza ramen:
Loved the texture of their ramen. The soup was well flavoured and the egg was beautifully cooked. One thing to complain was the pork was slightly overcooked.

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
Spicy Kuza Ramen ($14)
