Jac and the Bean @Freo

The fresh morning breeze flowing into this little quirky cafe with a warm sun shining on the long bench table. Foods were okay, average but prompt services. However, staffs weren’t as friendly as the reviewers said. I was somehow disappointed after visiting it.

(1) Brioche French Toast:
Such a perfect one among all the fried chicken dishes I’ve ever tasted, not to mention the crunchy fried chicken. The softness of french toast balances the roughness of fried chicken at first bite. And when you bite it deeper, more of the spicy tastes are coming out from the chicken. I won’t reckon you this dish if you cannot eat spicy things because this one was super hot!!!

Brioche French toast fried chicken || jalapeno sour cream, honey butter and fried egg ($18)

(2) Egg benedict:
I seldom order egg benedict whenever it comes with bacon. This is because restaurant always either undercook or overcook it. I’m totally losing hope on it. As salmon was out of stock, I had no choice but bacon. Jac and the Bean cooked it okay but sadly the whole dish was a bit flavourless.

Processed with VSCO with c1 preset
Egg benedict || bacon, 2 poached eggs, spinach & hollandaise sauce on ciabatta ($18)
