197-199 Brisbane Street, Northbridge, Perth, WA
Such a long time I haven’t been back to this little beauty, and now, after 8 months, I’m reviewing about their new fascinated menu. That cosy and relaxing atmosphere are still the reason why I am falling in love with this cafe. Start off my new day with great and warm welcomes from the hospitable team was simply awesome, wherefore I have listed Layup on my return list.
(1) Savoury crepes:
It was such a good combination though the wagyu was a bit hard and dry. The whole dish was flavoursome with a very strong buttery sauce sticking with the light and fluffy crepes. Serving with the charred asparagus was actually a smart decision to reduce the strong creamy flavour and adding some freshness to this dish.
(2) Bacon & egg burger:
This dish was filling enough with reasonable price. The burger bun was toasted on point and beautifully turned into light golden colour. This little act can definitely reveal how Layup dealing every single ingredient in earnest. The fried egg was perfectly cooked with running yolk. But chips and mayo were not a great one. These thick-cut chips were not crunchy and the mayo was slightly tasteless.
