A fairly cold and rainy day was going to start in the indoor dining areas of Roasting Warehouse. Outdoor with comfy seatings were not a right thing for a day like this. A range of beautiful baked goods stopped my eyes from rolling around. Sadly, pretty cakes were definitely not enough to fill up my belly on a breezy day.
As the name indicates, Roasting Warehouse contributes part of the place in roasting coffee beans and displaying their roasting and coffee making equipment. Yet, staying inside this big warehouse gave me a feeling of pressure as tables are a way too small and set too close to one another. The menu is simple with one page of options, but the prices were relatively high among other cafes in Fremantle.
The fritters were crispy and delicious when it came with the sour cream. Eggs were cooked to perfection with beautiful yellow running egg yolk. It overall tasted like an Asian fusion dish (in a good way) rather than an Aussie brekkie which we used to have. Joking? Nah, I actually felt like eating a soft shell crab instead.

Serving fried eggs were an interesting idea because it did come well and match with the whole dish. By the way, should I count it as a perfectly cooked egg? Well, beautiful running egg york was spilled on my shirt. Roti was another creative work in this dish. It gave an overall soft texture to the dish. And again, all you can see in this dish is the word “ASIAN”. These fusion dishes are going to change the concept of Roasting Warehouse, I guess?
