The Boardwalk, Railway Terrace, Oceanside, Rockingham, Perth, WA
In the cool of the day, together with our family, we drove all the way down to Rockingham for a chilly walk. Sometimes, things just don’t go the way you want. Rain started to hit the windscreen of the car after parking. Time was not allowed for us to be indecisive for our breakfast spot. We quickly and randomly picked up the closest one, as well as the one which seemed to have more diners than the others. Therefore, we sit down at Sunsets.
Sunset has a perfect location which situated aside of the Rockingham Beach foreshore, but they don’t have fancy decorations as the other restaurants do. Foods from a diverse range of dishes tasted not bad, but it was not that kind of breakfast we used to have. Read further then you’ll know. One thing to comment is the menu was slightly overpriced. Waitresses looked fierce but surprisingly had a friendly attitude and services.
(1) Sunset Big Breakfast:
A big breakfast that comes with bread such as ciabatta is the one I used to have. I am not saying anything negative, but I don’t like it coming with the nine-grain bread, not to mention that these bread were not fully toasted. Other than that, foods were well flavoured. The mushroom was so juicy which they did a great job on this. The scrambled egg could be softer even though it was in a good flavour. And I just hope that these sausages could be chipolatas or any other types of sausages.
(2) Mrs Sunset:
I was glad that they served me a brilliant egg benedict with the beautiful colour of hollandaise sauce, as well as the perfectly cooked poach eggs.
(3): Best on the beach:
This dish had no differences with my brilliant egg benedict, except the toasted rye bread. This time, the bread was fully toasted which was delicious. And overall, it tasted as good as my egg benedict.
