A month ago, I introduced you Chinta, the love in Balinese. Today, I found a little twist from the menu during my second visit. Chefs from this unique cafe love putting Asian ingredients into our dishes, such as the Kimchi from Korea. Although I didn’t impress by the flavours sometimes, I still appreciate their innovative ideas and passions in food.
To me, Bali is a secret island paradise that takes your breath away from the hustle and bustle. Simply be at leisure! And this is what happening in Chinta as well. It seems like staffs work leisurely and it took awhile for our dish to come out. But the truth is this place was not full today. So, next time, if you are having a starving belly, think deeply whether you’re okay to wait. (NB: good foods are always worth the wait!)
(1) Wagyu Beef Burger:
To be honest, I was not impressed by the burger at all. The whole combination just didn’t work well. Adding superfluous kimchi in between made the burger tasted weird. So the crunchy chips aside were the stars of the whole dish. Apparently, these served chips just came out from the deep-fryer which made it so perfect. Especially when you dip it with aioli.
(2) Corn Beef Hash:
This corn beef hash reminds me a delicious breakfast option from Hong Kong – the corned beef sandwich which served with toasted white bread. Their slightly different recipe of this sandwich turned out to be the best corned beef sandwich I’ve ever tasted. This recipe tasted slightly different with those I had in Hong Kong but I do love it. By adding in avocado into the dish, it worked well in balancing out the saltiness from the corned beef.
